Biblical Counseling & Debriefing

Biblical Counseling

Cedar Creek Ministries believes "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." Though we understand the local church is established for this very purpose, we recognize the need for pastors and missionaries specifically to get counsel and want to be readily available to them. We currently give preference to ACBC counselors, but also consider IBCD and other similar organization certifications as our counseling partners.

Why Debriefing?

Reflection on the last completed mission gives missionaries an opportunity to assess successes and failures. Formally closing a mission with an organized debriefing gives missionaries the closure they need to be able to move on to the next phase of their ministry. The benefit of seeing how the Lord worked, what they could have changed and the impact they made in the field has an incredibly positive impact on mission workers. The need is great for people trained in debriefing practices. All missionaries should have the opportunity to reassess when back from the field.

Long term sabbatical, mission evaluations. As a long term goal, for Cedar Creek Ministries is to have facilities that provide 30-60 day sabbatical/debriefing experiences for missionaries home from assignment. Many families sold everything they had to go out on mission and when they come home they are left with little to no time to evaluate where the Lord is calling them because of a lack of time and resources. Our goal is to hedge that gap!  To help with our land/building project for extended care for missionaries back from the field, donate here.
