Blog

Maybe you saw my post last week sharing my personal stories about why I love pastors and I know so many people that have so many personal stories about the way pastors have blessed them and their families. Just in case you like lists, I came up with one to support pastors' awesomeness!
They:
- give us the truth of God's Word
- give wise counsel
- take our middle of the night phone calls
- pray for us and our families
- sacrifice time with their own families
- manage church business
- are held to a higher standard
- study the bible daily so they can weekly minister to us
- cry with us
- are smart, reliable and motivational
- are strong leaders, mediators and mentors
- love you and your family
- are personally vested in your spiritual growth
- pray with us
- walk with us through life's most difficult times and seasons
- create outreach events
- disciple us and teach us how to disciple others
- encourage people to evangelize
- are responsible and disciplined
- protect us from wolves
Isn't it crazy we have to have a pastor appreciation month and day? Pastors and their families should be the most appreciated people in the church community and yet statistics show many wanting to leave the ministry at one point or another from simply being drained and discouraged.
As believers reading this I pray you will look to your pastors and church leaders with love and appreciation. If you find yourself asking what the church can do for you it's time to check yourself and ask what can you do for the church.
To all my beloved pastors, past and present, I thank you for being a blessing in my life and to my family. We are thankful for the role the Lord has given you.
Thank you so much for sharing your time with us. Did you know it will only take 20,000 Christians donating $100 each to fund our facilities project?! Be 1 of the 15,950 left to help us achieve our vision!
